Look out New York! Attack of the TriXie!

I still haven't unpacked from Vegas, let alone Raleigh, and here I am packing the bags again for a trip to New York City.  Here's what's on the agenda:

    Saturday and Sunday:
    World Cyber Games US Open
Players will be competing for a spot on Team USA at the Pan American Championship next month in Monterrey Mexico. It's happening at the Samsung Experience store in the Time-Warner building. Video Monkey and I will be there both days, so if you're in NY stop by and say hi. If me and the monkey aren't motivation enough, there will be a walk up GH3 tourney. No need to register, no entry fee. Come in, rock out, and you could win a trip to Mexico. Not in NY, or just a lazyass? Check out the coverage on Xbox.com and Inside Xbox on Monday.

    Tuesday:
    Games 4 Change Festival
This is happening at Parsons School of Design. I'm excited to see all the games. VM and I will be there along with Marketing VP Jeff Bell and Chris Satchell who is probably the coolest Brit on the planet. This isn't open to the public, but you can watch the action on Inside Xbox and Xbox.com. Holy crud Sandra Day O'Connor will be there. Doubt I can score that interview though... more info. PS if you are in NY and you really really really want to get into this, let me know and I'll see if I can beg a pass for you.
The good news is that BFF Lindsey will be there. Bad news is my Marine can't make it... (some bullshit about a 12 hour drive Wink), but on the other hand I do believe Monday is a shopping day!!!

Raise your hand if you're superstoked for Ninja Gaiden II. If you've got GameplayHD don't miss their documentary premiering this Friday at 9pm: Ninja Gaiden II: The Way of the Warrior. I got a sneak peek and it's really fascinating. And I'm not just saying that because I'm in it Wink

    Locks of Love and Randomocity

I've been slacking on the blogging lately. Must do better. First, I wanted to share something cool. My daughter recently had 13 inches cut off her hair, which she donated to Locks of Love, which provides free hairpieces to children with hairloss (usually from chemo). I was very proud of her, and also wanted to thank The Don Wan, who told my daughter about donating her hair, inspiring my mini-me to do the same.

    Other Stuff:

    • I love GTA IV! I have not yet successfully jacked a cop car, though I did manage to get laid. (Warm Coffee achievement)
    • Had a chance to play the Aerosmith GH3. It's fun and there are songs other than Aerosmith on it.
    • Went to NYC for the Madden 09 cover athlete announce. I didn't get to meet Brett Favre, but I did get to go to the taping of Letterman. I was more excited to sit with Peter Moore and see Tiny Fey.
    • Hit an NCAA Draft party while in NY. Hung out with football players. Some conversation generated by my dress.
    • The Xbox All-Nighter sponsored by Toyota was a big hit. We got tens of thousands of registrations and heard nothing but raves from participants.
    • Travel schedule is heating up for summer. In the next two months I'll be in Vegas, NY, Mexico and Paris! My kids hate me.
