    Happy Halloween

Major Nelson's grinchery aside, I say Halloween is the BEST DAY OF THE YEAR! Much fun was had in the office and then at a party at e's house. Major Nelson proved himself capable of huge douchery when he failed to show up to the party. Luckily, his doppleganger (KP in disguise!) was there to deal out a bitch-slap to a misbehaving TriX as a beheaded then re-headed Marie Antoinette. My catch phrase for the evening: "'Cause I'm the f'in Queen of France, that's why!"

Play PGR4 with the pros live from SEMA

Coming to you live tomorrow morning from the SEMA Show in Las Vegas (yeah, I had to look it up too), are professional drivers playing Project Gotham Racing 4 from the Michelin booth. I'd love to tell you who the drivers will be, but then I'd have to talk to deal with a bunch of lawyers and marketing and PR junk. Suffice it to say they are real live professional race car drivers. If you follow racing at all you've heard of them.

So take the morning off work if you're on the Left Coast, or take a long lunch if you're by the other ocean. Here's how it's going down:

    Game: Project Gotham Racing 4
    Date: Halloween, baby!
    Time: 12:30-2pm Eastern/9:30-11am Pacific
    Gamertag: RaceWithFame2

One more day for TriX and Treats Sweeps

You've got until 11:59 pm Pacific Time tomorrow (Halloween) to register for the TriX and Treats Sweepstakes if you haven't already. There are 24 great prize packages, so even if you don't get the Katamari puppet (I know  you want it--so do I!) you can still score some great stuff.

    Biting the Big Apple

Here I am in New York, back at the same hotel from June. Conveniently located yes, but no minibar.

Yesterday my flight was not so bueno. Exhibit A: 28 E. That's back of the bus, middle seat. Exhibit B: Crying babies. Exhibit C: Lots o' turbulence (not bad enough to inspire any Hail Mary's, but not fun either). Exhibit D,E, and F. The bodybuilder in 28D had arms bigger than my head. He could barely lift a cup to his mouth. And his triceps extended about 4 inches into my airspace. He didn't stink or sweat or anything, but I spent the flight trying to ensure that his muscles and my rack did not accidentally make contact. Not that I don't like muscles, mind you. One of the TriXie Tests is: Can you curl me?  But my brief football player phase introduced me to some of the unpleasant side effects of steroids. So yeah. I did read the latest issue of Esquire though.

Uh, anyway flight could have been better. Video Monkey and I just ate breakfast (creepy old lady at the next table was watching me put 4 sugars in my coffee like I was a reality show. If she hadn't been old, I would have told her to mind her business--but I guess that's what she's counting on. Begone with your staring eyes, and sugar judgement and stench of Bengay and the impending grave!) and are now about to head off to the Toys R Us store in Times Square, where we will capture all the action of Xbox 360 Family Fun Day. Radio Disney will be there, and we'll be showing off the new Arcade console and kid-friendly games. If you work in the city, take a long lunch and come hang out! The action's from 12 - 2pm!

    Xbox LIVE fun this weekend!

We've got a jam-packed weekend planned for you on Xbox LIVE. It's getting icky outside, so make some hot chocolate and hunker down on the sofa to let the glow of your hi-def screen warm the cockles of your heart. Here's what's happening:

Game with Valve (or Game with Geeks, as I call it). Play Orange Box with the dev team that created it. SO much more fun than playing against bratty celebs, right?

Xbox All-Nighter featuring Project Gotham Racing 4! It's time to race from sundown on Saturday to sunup on Sunday. It's easier now with the days dwindling. I might have some cool PGR4 stuff *cough*copiesofthegame*cough* in my office that I might be convinced to part with if you send a recap of your All-Nighter to me at xlmail@microsoft.com.

Me? I'm gonna spend some quality time with Beautiful Katamari and the CSI game (desperately need the gamerscore boost, plus I'm on Zuma restriction...I beat it three times in a row last night and the kids are threatening to delete it from the console). While that's going on I'm going to listen to Bruce Springsteen's new album Magic approximately twenty more times. It's spectacular.

Bad words, boobs, and free stuff!

Here's some cool recent stuff from some good friends of mine:

    • DaKing240 is giving away some VERY nice prizes in his charity effort include an Xbox 360 bundle, games, and more. You can check that out here.
    • I prank called DeaconBlade 360 on his latest show, so you can listen to me spout some bad words in Show #51. And if you haven't heard his show from last week with the GamerchiX you should definitely listen to that one too!
    • The Cavegirls are doing their second annual Fight Like a Girl tournament. It's ten bucks to register and all the money goes to The Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation. When else do you get a chance to whoop ass in Halo 3 and save some boobies (and lives!) at the same time? And if you blow at H3 you can either donate without playing or sponsor a player!

TriX and Major Nelson on Spike TV

I was talking to Geoff Keighley at World Cyber Games and he called my attention to this video in which both Major Nelson and I appear. He didn't know if we made the cut for the TV show, but regardless I DVR'ed it. Their special on the World Cyber Games in Orlando last month airs this Friday at 1am on Spike TV and again at the same time on Friday the 19th.

TriXie rocks with Rock Kills Kid

OMG me and BFF Lindsey got to play Rock Band with two of the dudes from Rock Kills Kid, including their wicked hot lead singer Jeff Tucker, who I'm planning to breed with later. We played some song that I can't recall, but I failed on drums but was able to recover and get my drum groove on. Spike TV was filming it so I can prepare for massive humiliation in the near future.

    Check the pics!

PS. Me to Jeff Tucker in the immortal words of Digital Underground "Allow me to Ump thee"

PPS. Jen actually thought of that.
